  • About the SBB Research Group STEM Scholarship

    The SBB Research Group STEM Scholarship encourages and empowers students to create significant value and countless new opportunities for society through their pursuit of higher learning, especially through interdisciplinary combinations of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). To apply for this $5,000 scholarship, eligible students must submit a short 500-word essay. See additional details below.

    Eligibility

    To apply for this scholarship students must meet the following criteria:

    • Available to all currently enrolled full-time students.
    • Students pursuing a degree in one of the following fields: Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
    • Students must have a minimum GPA of 3.5.
    • SBB Research Group’s interns and their family members are eligible and encouraged to apply. However, immediate family members of SBB Research Group’s regular employees are not eligible to apply.

    Guidelines

    SBB Research Group wants to read your response to the question, “What have been your most significant experiences in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and how will you use STEM principles to improve the world?" This should be a short essay (500 words or less).

    Submission Deadline

    August 31, 2020.

    Winner Selection

    The SBB Research Group STEM Scholarship Committee (the “Committee”) will award one (1) $5,000 scholarship via the following process:

    1. The Committee will select the eligible candidate with the best submission, in its sole and absolute discretion, in September 2020.
    2. Once notified by email, a candidate will have two (2) weeks to accept the award. Failure to accept the award within two (2) weeks shall disqualify that candidate, and the Committee will select a new candidate by repeating the previous steps.
    3. Acceptance of the award may have additional requirements set by the Committee and/or the student’s college, university, trade school, or design school. The Committee reserves the right to request further information from you, including but not limited to documentation in support of the information you provide.
